Coping with Cancer is an established local charity which provides practical and emotional support to individuals diagnosed with cancer, their families and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland. We are now looking to recruit the following vacancies to join our team:-

Starting salary for 37.5hrs per week between £22,000 & £25,000pa (dependent on initiative, knowledge and experience) plus milestone bonuses.


We are looking for an experienced and dedicated fundraiser who can work with us to develop our fundraising strategy and generate income, including applying for bids and grants. 

Applicants should have experience of fundraising with corporate partnerships and the local community, have previous event planning experience and the ability to network with a wide variety of people. You should also be able to work to fundraising targets, show initiative and work to tight deadlines. It will be a requirement of this role to work occasional weekends and evenings in furtherance of the fundraising duties.


A bonus scheme will operate for this role, dependant on meeting the requirements of the role including achieving fundraising targets.


Finance Officer - (Job description linked to the job title - please click to view)

Seeking a part-time Finance Officer working a minimum of 22.5 hours to be worked flexibly over 5 days (Full-time salary £­19,500 for 37.5hrs per week).

We are on the search for a committed Finance Officer who will make sure that payments, receipts and any other accounting entries connected with the Charity are correctly calculated, authorised and recorded.

Applicants should have experience of processing payroll and payments efficiently, accurately and in a timely fashion; ensuring that the knowledge gained is used to improve the Charity’s financial position where possible. You will also act in the best interests of the Charity in continuously reviewing spend and considering best value alternative suppliers. In addition, you will be responsible for providing appropriate required financial information to our auditors in readiness of the submission of annual accounting for Companies House and annual returns for the Charity Commission.

You will also present 6 weekly accounts of cash flow, salaries and expenditure to the Board of Trustees on a 6 weekly basis where your attendance will be required.


Lead Complementary Therapist - (Job description linked to the job title - please click to view)

19.5 hrs per week for £7,280 (flexible working)

We require a committed, experienced and loyal Lead CT to join our Charity to co-ordinate and ensure all CT services are met especially at our 7 countywide drop in Time Out groups. The CT Lead will also be required to provide one to one CT therapies at Helen Webb House.

Applicants should possess all the training, experience and certification in a range of CT’s and have knowledge of a cancer diagnosis and how CT can assist in the practical, emotional and physical alleviation of pain and discomfort.
