Practical and emotional support for anyone affected by cancer

Volunteer at The Men's Shed

The Men's Shed is a new project from Coping with Cancer, providing help and supported to men affected by cancer through an allotment gardening project.

As well as using the allotment to grow vegetables and flowers, cultivate soft fruits and build new beds, volunteers will also be expected to provide individuals who access the project with emotional support and a listening ear.

Based at the Rowley Fields allotment site, we expect The Men’s Shed Volunteers to give a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week or fortnight, on a rota basis with other volunteers. Commitment may vary depending on the time of year.
