Practical and emotional support for anyone affected by cancer

Corporate Support - Your company or organisation supporting us

Supporting Coping with Cancer is a great way for your company to make a difference to local people affected by cancer and demonstrate your commitment to the community where your employees and customers live and work.

It can also:

  • Promote team spirits and boosts staff morale
  • Give your team the opportunity to make a real difference by working together in an organised, coordinated way
  • Add to the work/life balance of your employees
  • Create bonding opportunities across departments and teams
  • Help your staff to develop new skills
  • Help you to meet your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals
  • Demonstrate your commitment to CSR to existing and potential customers and other stakeholders
  • Generate positive media interest in your company

As a local charity, we are grateful for all levels of support you are able to offer, and work with our supporters to help make fundraising as simple, and fun, as possible. From providing Coping with Cancer literature and fundraising materials, bespoke branded materials for your fundraising events to advice and support on planning and organising your fundraising, we're here to help.

There are lots of different ways that companies and organisations of all sizes can support us:

Charity of the Year

A Charity of the Year scheme is a great way of focusing all of your company’s fundraising efforts to one cause. The possibilities are endless, from employee fundraising to organising events, sponsorship to can collections – in fact, any of the ideas in this booklet and more! And we’ll be here every step of the way to help you make your fundraising a success. Choosing Coping with Cancer as your company’s charity of the year benefits both us and you. Visit our Charity of the Year page

Employee Fundraising

Employee fundraising provides your company with the perfect opportunity to enhance team spirit, motivate your staff, encourage creativity and have some fun! Supporting Coping with Cancer can also help your company improve your reputation within the community and generate positive PR. Most importantly, your company will be helping local people affected by cancer. Take a look at our Employee Fundraising page.

Employee Volunteering

Supporting Coping with Cancer doesn’t have to be about raising funds. A large part of charity work is about giving up time to help us. If your company has a policy on volunteer days, we can offer staff the chance to come and work with Coping with Cancer. We rely on volunteers to deliver our services, and have a wide range of volunteering roles available, from group supporter to drivers to fundraisers. There's more information on our Employee Volunteering page.

And there's more...

Other ways to support us include sponsoring a service, publication or event. We are always grateful for gifts in kind, and can work with you on cause related marketing activities. Encouraging your employees to give through Payroll giving and matched giving are simple ways to help us.

In return for your support, Coping with Cancer can help you develop a programme of fundraising activities that’s right for your business, provide an experienced person to help you get the most out of our partnership, and provide lots of advice and support, from planning events to marketing and publicity materials. To find out more, please contact us on 0116 223 0055 or email jane.hagreen@c-w-c.org.uk.
